Kenya Renee Young is a native of Las Vegas, Nevada raised in 22 foster care homes as a youth. Through the many obstacles of being apart of an untraditional family life she has also faced many challenges as a single mother of 5 children. Now a growing entrepreneur located on the historical Westside of Las Vegas is creating opportunity for up and coming entrepreneurs. While opening up generational changes for her own children.
Spending her spare time doing her passions; writing and giving back. Kenya is a self published three time author with more inspirational writings to come. In the meantime she has opened a bookstore that gives other unknown authors the opportunity to place their manual scripts or books. As a local philanthropist she has joined other nonprofits several times throughout the year doing community give back work for the homeless, and under serve families.
As the founder of L.I.E International a 501c3 she is able to assist those in need of mental health education, and therapeutic services. Allowing greater awareness to these issues that plague our community. While spear heading advocacy for mental health, and foster youth that has aged out of the system through unique programs developed for L.I.E. International.
Being a certified life coach in the community Kenya helps people to Liberate Innovate and Empower (L.I.E.) themselves. Through her efforts and knowledge Kenya has host an annual mental health expo for the past two years. The expo brings awareness to the importance of mental health, how to get help, and how we can assist those living with it. Up next is the development of housing for the foster youth, and resources to keep them connected as thriving citizens in our community.
